1.0 Introduction: 1.1 Background of the proposed report.
Nowadays, Malaysian always discuss, argue even provokes about teaching and learning process in English for science and mathematics. Some said, it is better for future Malaysians while others deny it. Back to educational history, in 1955, two years before Malaya's independence, the Razak's report stated that Bahasa Malaysia(the national language), being the main medium of instruction while preserving and sustaining the growth of language and culture of other communities living in this country. Until the mid-1960s, the government focused on upgrading the content of education rather than on the medium of instruction.
Since 2002, the government felt obliged to link education to the needs of an expending, modern economy that more influence to use English as their routine. Thus, government decides to apply English as the way to teach math and science in the class. Researches were carried to have the response from all profession whether stand with it or refuse it. Starting from 2003, this idea was applied even though there were objections from certain quarters. Till 2009, this issue is still hanging up without any concrete decision.
Thus, it is interesting to find out the effect of this dilemma whether from positive view or negative side. A research report about this may give awareness to the student, parents, educational administration(educational ministries) even the government on the effect of teaching and learning sciences and mathematics process, applied second language(English).

To find out the importance of teaching and learning, sciences and mathematics in English.
To find out the disadvantages of teaching and learning, sciences and mathematics in English.
To find out the perceptions about English.
